¼ cup butter
¼ cup Premium Gold® Gluten Free Flax & Ancient Grains All-Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cups milk
12 hard-boiled egg halves
1/2 cup dried, gluten free bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
If making sauce in a double boiler, melt the butter in the top pan over boiling water. If using a sauce pan, melt butter over low to medium heat (do not let it brown).
Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Stir until mixture is smooth and free of lumps. Remove the double boiler or saucepan from heat and slowly add the milk, stirring well. Place pan over low to medium heat and stir constantly until sauce thickens. Set aside.
Place hard-boiled egg halves into rows in a square baking pan. Pour hot sauce over the eggs. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese.
Bake 18-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
