Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease 8x8 baking pan.
In a bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs, bananas and applesauce until well mixed.
Mix in the vanilla and sour cream.
Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Gently fold in slivered almonds.
Pour into pan and sprinkle with Dash O' Flax.
Bake for 45 minutes. For last 20 minutes, cover with tinfoil OR reduce heat to heat to 350º and bake for 55 minutes. Watch carefully. When toothpick comes out clean, cake is ready. Enjoy!
